March 2017 Pasture Foliar Trial in Leeston
Element Raw Materials have been out in the field, doing local trials of the Rural Liquid Fertilisers (RLF) Pasture Foliar.
On the 8th March, a 100m2 strip of RLF Pasture Plus was trialed on an irrigated dairy farm in Leeston. Pasture Foliar is a very concentrated foliar fertiliser that stimulates production in a range of crops including Pasture, Lucerne and Amenity Turf. It contains N, P, K plus 9 balanced trace elements.
It was applied at an application rate of 3L/ha. Pasture cover was measured before and 14 days after treatment. Measurements were as following:
The result show a daily growth of 36.3kgdm/ha for RLF Pasture Foliar treated pasture compared to 28.8kgdm/ha. A daily difference of 7.5kgdm/ha – a 26% increase.
