March 2017 Pasture Plus Trial Charing Cross
Element Raw Materials have been out in the field, doing local Canterbury trials of the Rural Liquid Fertilisers (RLF) Pasture Foliars.
RLF Pasture Foliar is a very concentrated foliar fertiliser that stimulates crop production in a range of forage plants including Pasture, Lucerne and Amenity Turf. Contains N, P, K plus 9 balanced trace elements and root stimulants. RLF Pasture Foliar creates deeper roots, greater root mass and increased forage quality and dry matter production.
On the 24th February 2017, at Charing Cross, Canterbury, we conducted a 100m2 strip trial with RLF Pasture Foliar on an irrigated dairy farm. Pre-trial, the paddock had an average pasture cover of 2280kgDM/ha, 5 days after grazing. The plot was treated with 3L/ha rate of the Pasture Foliar.
On the 6th March, 10 days after the treatment, the plots were re-measured. The measurements were as following:
The result show a daily growth of 55.1kgdm/ha of RLF Pasture Foliar treated pasture compared to 36.9kgdm/ha/day. A daily difference of 18.2kgdm/ha – massive 49% increase!!
